What are the benefits of dental implants?
A. Too numerous to mention. No
partial or full denture; a restored
complete smile which from
experience gives back confidence.
Q. Are they safe and how long will
they last?
A. Titanium as used in dental
implants is completely biocompatable
and implants placed in conjuction
with our patient selection criteria will
last a lifetime.
Q. This form of treatment is being
done in a general practice. Should
this not be carried out in a hospital environment?
A. All implants will be placed in an
aseptic environment that is
specifically set up for your arrival.
Sterilisation issues are an absolute
within the practice as are noted in
post graduate courses held within
the practice for other surgeons that
we mentor through postgraduate
implant training procedures.
Q. If I have any questions pertaining
to implant therapy can I phone and
ask questions.
A. Always, and if I cannot speak to
you personally then one of my implant nurses will gladly take your call.
Q. I might be nervous about this
treatment however wonderful it
sounds. Can you help me with this?
A. Oral sedation which we find is
more than adequate can be provided
and this will be discussed with you at
your consultation.
Our goal is to make
any surgery
carried out
as atraumatic to you
as is possible you will be on a
strict drug regime of anti
inflammatory for a few days after
surgery to minimise any discomfort.
